Our PDF sewing patterns are delivered in various formats:

• A3 upon request. If you purchase a pattern and need an A3 file, we’ll create it in your preferred size upon request.
• PDF projector files upon request. If you purchase a pattern and need a projector file, we’ll create it for your preferred size upon request.

If you need a different format for a specific size, we can accommodate your request. Just let us know your needs, and we will gladly assist you with a personalized solution.

This jacket is designed to offer a structured yet comfortable silhouette, with clean lines that highlight the construction details and overall shape. Choosing the right fabric is essential to maintain the jacket’s structure, particularly around the neckline, shoulders, and zipper area.

Non-stretch fabrics (woven)

Choose medium- to heavy-weight woven fabrics with enough body to hold the shape while remaining comfortable to wear:

• Wool or wool blends
• Boiled wool
• Tweed
• Bouclé
• Jacquard
• Heavy cotton twill
• Textured coating fabrics
• Light jacket-weight wool fabrics

These fabrics help the jacket retain its structure and emphasize its clean, tailored lines.

Fabrics to avoid

• Stretch fabrics
• Very lightweight or fluid fabrics (such as chiffon, viscose crepe, or silk)

These fabrics will not provide enough structure for this design.

Recommended fabric weight

• Medium to heavy weight fabrics
• The fabric should have body and structure, without excessive fluidity, to ensure the jacket keeps its shape

Lining

• Viscose lining
• Acetate lining
• Lightweight cotton lining
• Cupro

The lining improves comfort, durability, and makes the jacket easier to wear.

Interfacing

Use a medium-weight fusible interfacing for key areas such as the neckline, facings, and zipper area to ensure good support and long-lasting shape retention.

Sewing your own jacket means you are the creator of your piece — feel free to experiment with fabrics not mentioned here, and the result can be beautiful. Don’t hesitate to explore and try different options.
This list is provided as a guideline — not all suitable fabrics are listed.

We indicate, as a reference, the necessary quantity for a fabric 150CM wide /59” with a directional print/nap for a size XXL:
FABRIC: 195CM/77”
LINING: 170CM/67”

The amount of fabric needed for your pattern depends on the pattern size, the width and design of the fabric you plan to use.
