A – Invert the garment, so the wrong side is facing outwards, and align the facing with the right side of the main fabric. Stitch along the lower section, stopping at the edge of the facing.
B – A way to secure the facings in place is to hand stitch them to the garment’s wrong side, using a thread from the fabric of the garment and a thread from the seam allowance of the facing, just as you did when attaching the facing to the sleeve. This technique helps to keep the facing in place and prevent it from shifting or becoming visible from the right side of the garment.
