LINING
6 BUTTONS (automatic snap buttons, hand-sewn snap buttons, or regular buttons depending on fabric and preference)

This pattern is designed for medium to heavy weight coat fabrics, offering warmth, softness and structure. The fabric should provide enough structure to support the silhouette while maintaining a beautiful drape.
For a modern or more pronounced version:
• Teddy fabric (medium density)
• Faux shearling (short to medium pile)
• Short pile faux fur
Fabric weight:
• Recommended weight: 350–550 g/m²
Lining:
This pattern can be sewn with or without lining.
• For a lined version: viscose, cupro or lightweight polyester lining.
• For an unlined version: boiled wool, double-faced wool and stable coat fabrics are particularly suitable.
Fabrics not recommended:
• Coat fabrics that are too stiff
• Tailored wool fabrics that are too thin
• Fabrics that are too slippery and lack structure
Note
For very thick or pile fabrics (teddy, faux fur), it is recommended to trim seam allowances at key areas (neckline, facings, cuffs) to avoid bulk.
Sewing your own garment allows you to experiment and adapt the fabric choice to your personal style. This list is provided as a guideline — many other suitable fabrics may work beautifully depending on the look you wish to achieve.

We indicate, as a reference, the necessary quantity for a fabric 150CM wide /59” with a directional print/nap for a size XXXL:
FABRIC: 3.50 meters / 138 inches
LINING: 2.55 meters / 100 inches
The amount of fabric needed for your pattern depends on the pattern size, the width and design of the fabric you plan to use.
