Our PDF sewing patterns are delivered in different formats:

• A4
• A0
• US Letter
• A3 upon request. If you purchase a pattern and need an A3 file, we will create it for your preferred size upon request.
• Projector PDF files upon request. If you purchase a pattern and need a projector file, we will create it for your preferred size upon request.

If you need a different format for a specific size, we can accommodate your request. Simply let us know your requirements, and we will be happy to assist you with a customized solution.

Please note: all seam allowances are included in the pattern.

This dress features asymmetrical draping, a fitted skirt, and a fluid overlay. The fabric must have good stretch and excellent drape to follow the body and allow the drapes to fall correctly.

Best choices

These fabrics give the best result and are strongly recommended.

• Viscose jersey / rayon jersey
  Soft, fluid, and very comfortable.
  Drapes beautifully and highlights the asymmetrical folds without adding bulk.

• Tencel / modal jersey
  Extremely smooth with a luxurious drape.
  Slightly heavier than viscose jersey, ideal for a polished and elegant version.

• Bamboo jersey
  Very soft, breathable, and fluid.
  Works well for both everyday and dressy versions.

Dressy options

For an evening or special-occasion dress.

• Silk jersey
  Luxurious drape and movement.
  Perfect for highlighting the design’s sculptural lines.

• Fine stretch velvet (with good drape)
  Adds depth and elegance.
  Choose a lightweight velvet with excellent stretch.

Stretch requirements

• Minimum stretch: 20% (preferably with good recovery)

• Stretch can be two-way or four-way, but four-way stretch offers the best comfort and fit.

• Fabric should be fluid, not stiff.

Fabrics to avoid

• Stable knits with little or no stretch

• Thick sweater knits

• Ponte, scuba, or double knit

• Heavy interlock

• Woven fabrics (even with elastane)

These fabrics prevent proper draping and distort the intended silhouette.

Fabric weight guideline

• Recommended weight: approximately 180–260 g/m²

• Lighter jerseys give a softer, more fluid look.

• Slightly heavier jerseys provide more structure while maintaining drape.

Sewing your own garment means you are the creator of your piece — feel free to experiment with fabrics not mentioned here, and the result can be beautiful. Don’t hesitate to explore and try different options.
This list is provided as a guideline — not all suitable fabrics are listed.

We indicate, as a reference, the necessary quantity for a fabric 150CM wide /59” with a directional print/nap for a size XXXL:
3.25 meters / 128 inches

The amount of fabric needed for your pattern depends on the pattern size, the width and design of the fabric you plan to use.
