MAIN FABRIC

4 SMALL BUTTONS, 1.5 CM (0.6″) IN DIAMETER
___________
This jumpsuit is designed to combine ease, elegance, and fluid movement, with softly structured pleats at the pants that shape the silhouette without adding bulk. Choosing the right fabric is essential to ensure the pleats fall naturally and maintain a refined, polished look.
Woven fabrics
Choose lightweight to medium-weight woven fabrics with a fluid drape and soft hand, such as:
Viscose / rayon
Tencel™ / Lyocell
Soft linen or linen–viscose blends
Lightweight crepe
Fluid cotton twill
Silk or silk blends
These fabrics allow the pleats to open smoothly and fall elegantly, creating a flattering silhouette while remaining comfortable to wear.
Fabrics to avoid
Heavy denim
Thick canvas
Rigid cottons
Heavy or stiff wool fabrics
These fabrics are too structured and may prevent the pleats from draping properly, adding unwanted stiffness or volume to the pants.
Recommended fabric weight
Approx. 140–220 g/m² (4–6.5 oz)
The fabric should be fluid and flexible, not stiff, to ensure soft pleat definition and natural movement
Tip
If in doubt, hold the fabric vertically: it should fall softly and move fluidly, rather than standing away from the body.
Sewing your own garment means you are the creator of your piece — feel free to experiment with fabrics not mentioned here, and the result can be beautiful. Don’t hesitate to explore and try different options.
